Nothing Can Bring Down AJ
Le Rêve is an amazing aquatic/acrobatic show at the Las Vegas Wynn Hotel and Andrew (AJ) Montgomery always dreamed of being a part of it. Only four days after his audition, his life was turned upside down when while riding his motorcycle he was hit by a reckless driver. After three surgeries AJ agreed to a below-knee limb amputation. This didn’t stop AJ and with the help of the prosthetics team from Hanger Clinic he was able to dance, swim, and do acrobatics in his new prosthesis. It only gets better; nearly 8 months after stepping into his prosthesis AJ re-auditioned and made it into Le Rêve. Ever since the summer of 2015 he’s been doing 10 shows a week and 500 a year! Along the way AJ’s prosthesis has been modified to accommodate his needs on the show. AJ’s amputation only made him stronger and more determined to succeed. He is an inspiration to all.
